The Patrick Wolffe Group, Inc. announces the release of a MIL-STD-1553 module for the CompactRIOTM (cRIO) platform. This module is based on the DDC BU-64863 Micro-ACETM which provides one dual-redundant 1553 channel in a single-slot cRIO module. The PWG cRIO-1553 module features a dual-input external power and four status/function LEDs. This single-function module will operate in Bus Controller (BC), Remote Terminal (RT), or Bus Monitor (BM) mode.

Advanced LabVIEW drivers and examples will be provided for complete functionality without in-depth LabVIEW programming knowledge.

Bus Controller

Functionality will include full frame definition and sequencing. Timing occurs on DDC chip to minimize cRIO overhead.

Remote Terminal

Module will perform as a single RT which will include word count and mode code illegalization for any subaddress for any given RT.

Bus Monitor

Selective messaging or word monitoring is provided onboard the DDC chip to minimize overhead and also from LabVIEW to provide advanced parsing if needed.
